On 4th August 2017, Chinese Ambassador H.E. Dr. Zhao Yanbo attended the donation ceremony of 2017 Botswana Chinese Charity Golf Day (BCCGD), which was jointly organized by Charity Association of Chinese in Botswana, Botswana Chinese General Chamber of Commerce and Botswana Huaren Golf Association. During the ceremony, BCCGD donated 10,000 Pula to a local charity organization, Cristal Victory Home, for the needy children in Botswana.

Ambassador Zhao commended that the annual Botswana Chinese Charity Golf Day is not only a platform for Chinese people in Botswana to strengthen communication, but also a friendship bridge between Chinese people and local Botswana friends. Through BCCGD, Chinese people in Botswana have made several donations to different charity organizations, which demonstrates that China is a nation of caring and kindness.
