H.E. Dr. Zhao Yanbo, Chinese Ambassador to Botswana urged Chinese enterprises in Botswana to make greater contributions to the social and economic development of Botswana, when he attended the reception marking the 20th anniversary of the founding of the reputable Chinese construction company UNIK Construction Engineering Ltd. along with donation ceremony on 20th October 2017.

　　Ambassador Zhao said China and Botswana have a time-tested friendship and two peoples have truly benefited from the expanding cooperation in various fields between two countries. Since the establishment of diplomatic ties 42 years ago, the Chinese companies in Botswana have made great contributions to Botswana's economic and social development especially in infrastructure field. Many Chinese companies including UNIK have completed lots of contracted projects with good quality and efficiency, and fulfilled the social responsibility by rewarding the local society, which established a good image of Chinese enterprises in Botswana. 

　　Ambassador Zhao urged all the Chinese companies in Botswana to continue to strengthen enterprise management, comply with local laws and rules and contribute to the local society, so as to help further enhance China-Botswana friendship and bring tangible benefits to the people.

　　Around 200 guests attended the reception. Among them were Hon. Sadique Kebonang, Minister of Mineral Resources, Green Technology and Energy Security, senior Botswana government officials, representatives of Chinese and Botswana entrepreneurs, etc.
