Chinese Ambassador Zhao Elaborates the Significance of the 19th CPC National Congress: Great Opportunities for China-Botswana Relations

  On 15th December 2017, Chinese Ambassador to Botswana H.E. Dr. Zhao Yanbo accepted an exclusively interview by Duma FM on the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

  Ambassador Zhao said the 19th CPC National Congress held last October is of great importance to China, which has many significant outcomes and marks a new era of the socialist China with Chinese characteristics has begun.

 

 

  Ambassador Zhao pointed out that China is the world's second largest economy and continues to grow rapidly, and has increasingly engaged itself in world governance proactively. That’s why this Congress has attracted huge attention of the international community.

  Ambassador Zhao stressed that the Congress lays out China's major diplomatic vision which is to build a new type of international relations and a new community of shared future for mankind. Following that, China will bring more positive energy into the world and will create new development opportunities for other countries.

 

 

  Speaking of China-Botswana relations, Ambassador Zhao emphasized that two countries have a time-tested friendship and strong cooperation prospect. Guided by the principles of the 19th CPC National Congress, China is willing to move forward with Botswana to strengthen communication and consultation under bilateral and multilateral framework, explore and formulate plans to align our economic cooperation strategically, channel investment in areas of Botswana concern, and promote Botswana economic diversification, with a goal of common development and benefiting peoples of our two countries.
