To make an application for a visa to enter China, the following documents and procedures are required:

 

1. Application form (fully filled) with one photo

2. Current passport (valid for at least six months)

3. Residence permit and copy (for non-Botswana citizen)

4. Invitation letter from China or bank statement

5. In case of refusal or cancel of a visa, there will be no refund from the embassy

6. Without all the above documents we will be unable to process a visa. Provision of these documents does not guarantee the issue of an entry visa.

7. Applicant can pick up his or her visa on the fourth workday. Application for issuing an emergency visa within two days requires emergency fee and prearrangement with the visa officer.

8. Visa fees and visa pick up:

   A. Botswana: single entry visa: P500 (two entry visa and multiple entry visa require official invitation letter from China)

   B. Other nationalities: single entry visa: P182, double entry visa: P273, Multiple entry visa valid for 6 months: P365, Multiple entry visa valid for 12 months: P547.

9. Emergency Fees: Within two days: P124, within the same day: P182

10. To pick up a visa, one should bring the pick up form with him/her.

11. Opening date and opening hours of visa section: Monday to Friday: 8:00-12:00

12. The applicant may be required for an interview if necessary.

13. Regulations and fees are subject to change without prior notice.
