CHINESE AMBASSADOR ZHAO SENDS CONDOLENCES TO THE PASSING OF MR. KOFI ANNAN

On 22nd August 2018, Chinese Ambassador Zhao Yanbo expressed his deepest condolences to the passing of the former UN Secretary General Mr. Kofi Annan by signing a message in the condolence book opened at the United Nations Office of the Resident Coordinator in Botswana.

 

 

Ambassador Zhao wrote that he was saddened by the passing of Mr. Kofi Annan. He commended that Mr. Annan was an old friend of China and also an outstanding representative of the African people, who cared about Africa and pushed for increasing global awareness of African issues.

 

 

On behalf of the Chinese Embassy and also in his own name, Ambassador Zhao extended his deepest condolences and sympathy to Mr. Annan’s family and the UN.
