Chinese Ambassador Zhao: BRICS Cooperation Benefits African Countries
2017/12/07

BRICS is willing to conduct more dialogue and cooperation with African countries so as to achieve win-win results and common development, Chinese Ambassador to Botswana H.E. Dr. Zhao Yanbo said at BRICS Ambassadors’ expanded meeting hosted by Russian Ambassador H.E. Victor Sibilev on 5th December 2017.

Ambassador Zhao stressed that BRICS cooperation has become an important platform for cooperation among emerging market and developing countries and made a series of fruitful achievements since its inception 10 years ago. During the BRICS Xiamen Summit held in China last September, China proposed the concept of ‘BRICS Plus Cooperation’ and hosted the Dialogue of Emerging Market and Developing Countries, which sent a strong message for closer South-South cooperation and global development cooperation.

Ambassador Zhao pointed out that China and Africa are good friends, good partners and good brothers. Under the frame of BRICS as well as FOCAC (Forum on China-Africa Cooperation), China is ready to work closely with African countries and align China's development with Africa's development to achieve common development.
