Chinese Vice Premier Huang Ju Visited Botswana

 

 

On the invitation of Botswana President H. E. Mr. Festus Mogae, the Vice Premier of the State Council of China, Huang Ju, arrived in Botswana on 19 November for a three-day official visit. He was accompanied by his wife and led a delegation comprising of Minister of Information Industry, Deputy Secretary General of the State Council, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Vice Minister of Commerce, Vice Minister of Health and other high-level  officials. Four representatives from the Chinese business sector ranging from agriculture, transportation, construction and ICT industries also arrived together with the delegation. They are set to meet BEDIA representatives on 20 November. Vice Premier Huang held official talks with President Festus Mogae, followed by the signing of three cooperation agreements. Vice Premier Huang will also hold talks with the Executive Secretary of SADC, Tomaz Salomao, and the Speaker of Botswana National Assembly, Patrick Balopi, on 20 November.  Vice Premier Huang will also tour Orapa House on the morning of 21 November.
