Leaders of China and Botswana Exchange Congratulatory Messages

On 11st September 2007, H.E.Festus G.Mogae, President of the Republic of Botswana, extended a congratulatory message to H.E.Hu Jintao, President of the People's Republic of China, on the 58th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. President Mogae was convinced that the cordial relations that subsist between Botswana and China will continue to flourish in the years to come. He also reaffirmed Botswana's commitment to further strengthening the bonds of solidarity and friendship for the mutual benefit of the two countries and people.

On 18th September 2007, H.E.Hu Jintao sent a congratulatory message to H.E.Festus G.Mogae, on the 41st anniversary of the independence of Botswana. President Hu expressed his admiration for the achievement that Botswana made in the past year in strengthening infrastructure construction and improving people's living standard as well as the gratifying progress in her economic and social development. He commended Botswana for her active and important role in regional affairs. He also pointed out that, in recent years, cooperation between China and Botswana in various fields has further expanded. The Chinese Government cherishes the traditional friendship with Botswana, and would like to work with the Botswana Government to further enhance the friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries to a new level.
