President Khama Wishes Beijing Olympic Games a Good Success

On July 8, 2008, Let. Gen.Seretse Khama Ian Khama, President of the Republic of Botswana, sent a congratulatory letter to H.H. Hu Jingtao, President of the People's Republic of China on the upcoming Beijing Olympic Games.

President Khama said that, On behalf of the Government and people of Botswana and on my own personal behalf, he wishes to offer sincere congratulations to the Government and people of the People's Republic of China, for the excellent preparations which have been put in place for the upcoming Summer Olympic Games to be held in Beijing, China, from 8th to 24th August 2008.

President Khama praised that China had once again demonstrated its measure of commitment and the spirit of hard work. The Olympics are the greatest sporting event which brings together the best of the worlds athletes, and they serve to bring humanity closer together.

"Many records stand to be broken or made in Beijing, as the best of the world' s athletes showcase what makes them the very best. We wish you success in hosting the Olympic Games and hope that at the end day when the medals are counted, China emerges with the most" President Khama said.
