It was such a delight on the morning of 14 July 2017 as the Embassy of the People's Republic of China hosted the Association of Botswana Schools Performing Arts (ABOSPA), and the students and teachers from all over Botswana in Chinese Embassy. The Open Day program was full of activities meant for cultural exchanges as well as demonstrating China-Botswana traditional friendship. Activities that took place were traditional song and dance from both China and Botswana, tour around the Embassy, having a taste of the Chinese cuisine, and learning basic Chinese language among others. Visitors were also able to get acknowledge of the responsibilities of an Ambassador and the functions of an Embassy in promoting bilateral relations.

His Excellency Dr. Zhao Yanbo, Chinese Ambassador to Botswana, concluded the event with inspiring words to students as he shared with them the importance of arts and cultural exchanges. He emphasized that China is willing to make joint efforts with Botswana to further promote China-Botswana friendship and cooperation.
