Director-General of the Department of African Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Wu Peng Attends the Academic Forum on China-Africa Cooperation of Renmin University of China

On May 14, 2021, Director-General of the Department of African Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Wu Peng attended the Academic Forum on China-Africa Cooperation of Renmin University of China.

Wu Peng extended warm congratulations on the convening of the meeting, highlighted the situation in Africa, China-Africa cooperation results and prospects, refuted the false accusations on the Belt and Road Cooperation between China and Africa and Africa's debt to China, and articulated China's principled stance. He encouraged envoys to China as well as experts and scholars to tell true stories of China's development and China-Africa cooperation, contributing to a brighter future of China-Africa relations.

The meeting, hosted by the School of International Studies of Renmin University of China, was attended by over 10 African envoys from Kenya, Uganda, Algeria and other countries, representative officials from the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and experts and scholars from the Central Party School of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Renmin University, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and other universities and institutions.
